5 - 10 second lag spikes, only in 1 v 1

The game has lag spikes anywhere between 5 and 10 seconds. However it only happens in 1 v 1s. Even on skirmish with bots it only happens on 1 v 1. It is driving me crazy. Happens usual from castle age on.

My ranked bench mark is 1200 on max settings so my PC shouldnt be an issue. Even updated drivers etc.

Frequency: It happens all matches I play 1 v 1.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Play a 1 v 1.

I have no recording but it is a generic lag spike. After 5 seconds the game speeds up and catches up. (I loose my crosbow army to a mangonel while doing so :wink:

I don’t know how to save a game file otherwise I can play another game is needed

Anyways,
Just wanted to see if I’m the only one.

Do you use antivirus? If so, please add the whole folder of the game to the exception list.
