5-Part Ottoman Series & Campaign Exclusive Maltese Civ

For the focus on hegemony over the Mediterranean, you play as the Turks, fighting over various locations on both land and sea, with enemies including a campaign-exclusive civ: the Maltese.

1) Siege of Rhodes (1522): Taking Rhodes with several invasions while maintaining the naval blockade.

2) Battle of Tunis (1535): Defending Tunis from Habsburgs and the allies. The goal is a strategic retreat (as the fortresses were not defendable at the time). Think like the Le Loi 2 mission.

3) Battle of Preveza (1538): Will be the shortest campaign ever as it lasted only one day in history. Focusing purely on ship positioning and engagement.

4) Siege of Malta (1565): Much harder and more detailed version of the first mission. You have to take the island.

5) Invasion of Southern Italy (1580): A pure “what if” scenario. The goal is capturing Sicily and Southern Italy. But the map can even be extended further to Rome and the achievement would be taking Rome.

And here is the campaign-exclusive Maltese which will be present in all missions:

Missing techs: heavy cavalry archer, parthian tactics, hussar, siege ram, siege onager, bombard cannon, siege engineers, carvel hull, atonement, fervor, gold shaft mining, two-man saw.

I can create the civ itself and the campaign as a mod, but I am not sure if the first bonus is doable. I need to know if it is hard-coded or not.

The civ is… fine. In PvP it would actually kinda work. The fact that archer frame delay is so good helps immensely to offset a rather lackluster eco bonus.

You wood eco starts to flow in when you get universities going. I’d also extend the TB to catapult ships and Dromon ships as well

If it had its own UU it would be fire. St Elmo’s fire. Maybe it grants fireships pass through too?

Interesting idea this a good way to have more civs ingame for campaigns rather than adding more to ranked.
