I think a book should be created with gameplay and opening tips for each civilization. It should also include historical information. It should be a richly illustrated book with music. General game mechanics and strategies should be explained. It could be sold at a reasonable price. Many beginner players would buy it. History-loving AoE2 fans would also buy it.
Are you talking about a digital book?
Also, barring rich illustrations and music, wouldnât that be the history section?
Bonus Byzantine music
yes digital book thanks for music
AoE2 is constantly being updated so that book would be outdated very quickly.
Back in the day patches didnât really change the game much, only larger expansions did. So a strategy guide book was valid for much longer.
Just like the game gets updates, this digital book might also get an update. After all, itâs a digital book. And theyâre going to sell it for money.
You are telling me an e-book cannot be updated like the wiki?
It can be updated but knowing how companies operate on the inside, they will constantly forget about that and then only do it after community reminds them of it.
A wiki is community lead. Someone sees a wrong article and can just go and correct it. If itâs provided by the developers they have to fix it.
There already is a community wiki anyway.
What are you getting by defending the developers by the way?
Defending?
Iâm saying that I donât believe they would be capable of updating a e-book reliably.
