Just as I thought, this is their Wonder. It’s gorgeous, but it’s not really a building. I wonder if it’s based on anything at all.

The most uninspired of all of the civs

At least they’re going to have good immersion with a jungle setting.

I guess it’d be hard to find a more fitting wonder to Tupis, especially for pre-contact ones.

Honestly both the Tupi and Muisca seem to lack a well defined gameplay style

The Tupis are “agressive” but thats kinda it.

I think the structure on top might be meant to be an orca/maloca

I see that you ended up deferring to my edit on the wiki. I was perfectly willing to defer to yours, but I’ll take it.

Yours did have more information. Also, I didn’t know that was you. xD

Well, now you know!

What I find weird about the wonder is the default tropical vegetation. What if I am playing on a tundra or snow map? The tropical trees of the wonder would look very out of place when you build the wonder as the Tupi in those maps, I think.

I think to me this is the most appealing of the new civs, since I generally like foot archers and they are sort of like the archer version of Goths. Not sure about the exact details since it’s completely unclear to me how useful any of those bonuses will be. I’m interested to see whether “Fallen units return a percentage of their cost” is useful in practice – it should be much better than the old Madrasah tech since it applies to everything without any investment.

The wonder is silly, even sillier than the Mapuche one.

It’s silly, but at least it’s not ugly.

I also find that a bit strange, but mostly because using a natural wonder feels odd. A waterfall in a desert will also look quite silly.

We do have other buildings with regional plants on them though (eg several wonders (Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese), but also the East Asian blacksmith and some house models)

to me as well. if they replaced the pointless poison damage with bonus damage (or even just plain pierce attack), this would be a civ that could fit into aoc.

I wish they used the huge wooden walls over stone walls.

The refund feels like i could be a nod to cannibalism which i like

This is apparently a Tupi structure according to Pinterest:

IMHO it’d work better as a buildable wonder. The current one looks pretty so it could remain in the game as a scenario editor building.

It would work if instead of their units it was the opponents units, they didn’t “eat” their own (nor the others, but I have already write about the subject various times and wont do it again) All TLC photos in one place - #199 by Broscarmania

“Water…I need…water…”

“Just collect 1000 wood, gold, and stone and you’ll be fine.”

It would be funny if there was an achievement “Build a Tupi wonder on Arabia” just for the contrast heh
