If you go to about post 80, there’s comparison pictures of Central Asian buildings and Sassanid ones. They are the closest to what Persians had from the start of the Middle Ages.

Since it has no interaction, I think it is not approved. Also reddit mods are not approving my “Weekly Persian Architecture” series for 3 weeks but approving other posts.
I can see it if I go to “new” and scroll down.
But it being approved way later likely kills the amount of traction it gets.
I mean, there’s other instances where a civ’s wonder texture doesn’t look like the rest of the architecture of that civ, that’s not that massive of an issue.
They realistically were and still are designed to be a catch-all for all civilizations in Persia from the Sassanids to the Safavids basically. Hence the influences from both. And before anyone gets ideas, I don’t think a Persian split is appropriate, I think them being an umbrella is fine, and the civ design is pretty solid on the whole.

I think it couldvw made sense to have a Turcoman civs for the Safavid/Qara Qoyunlu/turkic origin iranian nations
But what we have now is fine

One of my friends has a theory that one was planned, and then scrapped. As elements of the Qizilbash unit and the ally in Ismail’s campaign don’t quite add up. Like how the Qizilbash is the only scenario editor unit to have an elite upgrade, and how the Qizilbash (despite being seemingly just Tatars with a UU swap) can build Caravanserai.

I do think it would have been a bit sad to get another DLC with no campaign for the campaign-less civs
Would be great to have campaigns for both current Chinese AND Koreans with the next DLC

If theories are true that this DLC was also delayed because of BFG being delayed, then they sure would have had time for it lol.

Last meme (part 60) was approved within an hour which is relatively early. But then is deleted in 3-4 hours.

tbh r/aoe2 reddit is very annoying. Especially modmin side of it. They virtually dont want any other talks other than pro-player scene. I see my posts getting downvoted right away when they approve it. So i’ll post part 60 or 61?
