This is the intention of Arabia, isn’t it?

As a game developer I would not have the intention to make a map that pleases everyone and has 50% play rate. As a game developer I would want the players to explore all the diversity of my beautiful game.

Any map has its meta to be figured out, before that we see all kinds of suboptimal plays that seem “creative”.

It is creative, if you don’t just copy others.

And it’s not like you can only play meta on Arabia. There is Hoang, there is the legend of YouPudding. I even had some success with Romans MAA all in.

Yeah, I think more is possible than people think, but why do people think rather less is possible? The Arabia playrate is maybe part of the reason. That the YouPudding strategy is good is not surprising for me.

I think there are more good strategies than Arabia players actually play, what is … well somehow irritating. I think this is the meta effect, and it is not good for a game.
