Added game mechanics

Hi everyone, I had an idea which continues progression for those players who have pretty much completed the entire game (which admittedly will take a long time I know) and to add extra content to those who are new.

I thought of a mechanic which could run behind the scenes when playing a game - either on skirmish, online multiplayer or campaign. As you play, the game could record your statistics (such as number of total kills throughout your career, number of victories, number of relics captured etc…). With this information, there could be a tiered system which is accessed via the menu screen, where you can unlock in-game bonuses. For instance, after winning 150 matches/games (tier 1) you can toggle a resource (all resource) trickle bonus of 100 resources p/m. Tier 2 could be win 300 games in any mode for 300 resources p/m and tier 3 could be win 500 games for 900 resources p/m. Could play around with other stats like unit attack points - tier 1 could be kill a total of 5000 units on any game mode for the bonus of +25% attack damage, tier 2 could be kill 15,000 across any game mode for +50% attack damage and tier 3 could be kill 50,000 for +100% (if the unlock criteria is too low make them higher). Could have a god mode to unlock where player units have infinite HP, crazy attack damage and can’t be converted but you need to kill something ridiculously high like 1 or 2 million units AND win 1,000 or 2,000 matches on any mode on the hardest difficulty.

You can play around with the same premise for many other stats such as unit and building HP, relic gold gather rates, resource gather rates, conversion resistance, unit speed, archer range, building rates, unit production rate, etc. Make the way to unlock the bonuses linked to the reward. For instance, conversion resistance tiers unlocked by total number of successful conversions. All unlocked through playing the game and earning each tier.

You can play around with all the game stat bonuses for each match once you’ve unlocked them and add some interesting gameplay. The beauty of it is you don’t have to toggle them so it won’t ruin the authentic experience. It’s to add a little extra value and something extra to progress through. It’s great if you simply wish to have a bit of fun and like I say is completely voluntary. Of course, activation stops game achievements and you can’t use in online multiplayer. Additionally, it’s always nice to see some progress bars increase!

As if the game wasn’t already tough enough for beginners…

I don’t understand how this makes it tougher for beginners…

You play the game as you already do and as an added bonus for doing so gain additional extra buffs IF you want them…
