You cannot add new UI Texture. It is very buggy. It would be a godsent gift if anyone, really anyone (dev, player, modder, greg from accounting) could make a Youtube Video on how to add new, own made Icons. I am fine with everything, but of course preferably someone that can explain how to add textures using plain textures, atlas, and whatever else there is. How it works, Icon.json and material.json. How to make your mod techs have vanilla icons or modded textures and all that. But as I said, it doesn’t have to contain all that. Just the most basic stuff would work too. I have yet to see a mod that adds custom, non vanilla icons. I have downloaded Eternal Civilization and the UI mod, studied its content ingame and in the files - in theory it should add new icons, but it just doesnt. ---

As I mentioned in this topic: [Making Icon Mods - #5 by JeremyLevegood](https://forums.ageofempires.com/t/making-icon-mods/275463/5) I don’t think it would even work because the game does not even detect changes from existing changes for modding existing icons. (Except in the game data directory.) So, even if you did, it would not work. (In theory. Unless, you modded the game data files as stated.) ---

There is a very good tool to make icons called “DDS icon builder” I don’t promise anything but I will see if I make a video in Spanish (my language) of how to add custom icons with English and Chinese subtitles. By the way, don’t you know if with the latest updates the limit for building and technology icons has already increased? ---
