Some of our friends said Chinese is too strong, they don’t need any balance. But I don’t think so.Something of them is too strong, they should be nerfed, and some of them are too weak.
1.I think they can add a card called “Suolun trooper”(1000 gold) in age 4,it can add a kind of infantry called Suolun trooper in Chinese castle. They can be trained and upgraded in the castle. They are a kind of trooper just like the Azap.
2.The Chinese atrillery is too weak, especially for their speed,so my advices are:
a.Flamethrower is completely junk,I have nothing to say.
b.Handmortar have 2 gunners but just cost 1 pop,it is too strange. My advice is to make their basic damage into 8,speed into 3.5,HP into 150 but also make them cost 2 pop,100 food 120 wood.
c.The Problem of the Flying Crow is speed,so my advice is to make their speed into 3.3.We can’t make them too strong.
3.The things too strong must be nerfed in the future updates, such as the bonus of the card Confucius’ Gift and Old Han Reforms, they should be nerfed, etc.
The strength of the Chinese in the mode of hegemony is the abundance of soldier cards from the fortress era, rather than the dominance of Confucius gifts and the reform of the old Han army. Conventional confrontations often end with continuous transportation of a large number of soldier cards during the fortress era, which has nothing to do with Confucius gifts and the reform of the old Han army. The reform of the old Han army is even a life-saving card that ensures that China can continue to engage in later confrontations. Due to the excessive weakening of units, the units unlocked by China during the fortress era are far apart from standard European units once they enter the industrial era and imperial era
The correct way for Chinese people to balance is to reduce the number of soldier cards they had during colonial and fortress eras. Five or six unit cards brought them a lot of troops, so they should directly delete a few unit cards; But for their fourth and fifth era fortress unlocking units, they should return their attributes and strengthen them, especially the long swordsman and arquebusier, who were weakened too severely and had no room to appear in the late Industrial and Imperial eras
They already did this and now Chinese usage is on the floor lol. Not saying that it was not deserved, but further nerfs are definitively not needed.
@DeckedBow443825 I am afraid that people on these forums will give any excuse and block most if not all Chinese proposals. The only ones that get some attention are the ones from Chinese players (from China) that want to completely remake the civ, but of course those will never get implemented.
Just look for “China” or “Chinese” in the search bar and look for yourself.
I feel china in 1v1 are fairly balanced at the moment. That after a lot of nerfs and buffs do they now feel just right (again in 1v1 supremacy).
In more niche situations like team games or treaty (making a lot of 1 unit type armys) is where they might struggle or feel under performing. Mostly in the artillery/anti art department hand mortars are great for there cost but when it come down to mass art vs mass hand mortars( ive talked about this before in detail in another post) they very much underperform for there role as anti art against all other art that isnt a falconet. (they do fairly well against mass falconet)
