I will praise it in case they become our master. Anyways having an overgrown terrain that works like snow on buildings would be cool to show ruins.

some magic mod related stuff. theres also AOF (age of fantasy) DE in the work iirc its being ported from HD to DE

The old engine already allows the likes of protective fields (less cancerous than the shirwanka rider), invisibility, detection and areas of effects (as shown in SWGB) and it can simulate flying and underwater units.

I’d still say it’s a better choice to make a game like that in a new engine. Not the AoE2 nor the AoE4 or AoM engines.

Modern engines have better scheduling of tasks and make it a lot easier to implement additional features that magic probably needs.
