Dawn of War had this, where 1 AI could be easy but another could be Extreme. This could lead to much more interesting games tailored to a players’ preferences.
And even allow players of different ranks to have a chill game with friends, where the flanks could have different difficulty enemies facing them directly.
Like you could set the game to have that really weak Goths AI but a really strong Teutons AI or so on.
Suppose there is a matter of code why this won’t work. But if it’s not, would be great to have the options of difficulty for each particular AI rather than the same difficulty for every AI in the game.
