AI Error in skirmish games

Game Version: Minor update 17.31993

Build Number: 15815388

Platform: Steam

Operating System: Windows 11

Issue :
There is a bug that I recently encountered that caused my AI opponents to crash and not gathering/building army/attack at all. It only occurs in Skirmish games and reproduceable with different pantheons and different AI (standard/attacker/defender and standard/moderate/hard/titan/extreme/legendary).

I have used steam’s validate game files function many times, to no avail

Trigger event: Playing skirmish games with AI

Reproduction steps:

  1. Error log will appear after splash screen after starting the game, before any game starts (skirmish or campaign) and after any game ends
  2. The opponent AI will crash only in skirmish with AI games (campaigns not affected even though error log shown before campaigns as well)

Error Log:

Hi @HannahUwU, thank you for the report. Do you have any mods enabled at all?

No… No mods installed.

Very weird, you sure you weren’t opening up AI files and messing around with them? (I would encourage such behavior btw)

For my own curiosity could you share this folder here?

I didn’t… But even if I accidentally did (or my pc did), then shouldn’t Steam’s verify game files function would resolve the issue?

And sure, here you go. Here’s the folder : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Ipb3QbNB1hLFyVuRVCofpjpGrExdyiye?usp=sharing
