AI never upgrades skirmishers

AI, even in Extreme, never upgrades skirmishers to elite skirmisher. It can have 30 skirmishers in Castle age but still refueses to upgrade them

Sorry to be a buzz killer, but I play the Extreme AI constantly. It does upgrade. Maybe you’re pressuring it too much so it never gets to do it. In order to ensure this, just play less roughly against it, make sure you pressure with archers/xbows so the AI decides to go for skirms and watch. If I’m right, they’ll be elite shortly after Castle age. If I’m wrong, come back and post a recording.
