If any work is planned on the AI, just wanted to say that at this point, AI micro of its units is its weakest feature.

Just an example:

AI cavalry attacking my artillery suddenly switch over to attack my infantry when my falconet has like 10 hp left. The infantry then proceed to kill the cavalry and my 10 hp falc takes out AI’s infantry. I win when I clearly should have lost.

I have many games to show. Here’s one with the example. I on purpose give AI many fights it can win. It just cannot get its priorities straight.
