ISSUE EXPERIENCED
Pastures, when they are built on amphibious terrain like mangrove shallows, turn the terrain into a land terrain. This causes a few issues:
- If they are there at game start that terrain becomes impassible to ships
- Docks and other water structures cannot be placed where a pasture has been.
- Farms built where a pasture has been look like land farms.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
- 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:
- Build a pasture on an amphibious terrain
- Observe that the pasture has turned the terrain into an un-amphibious terrain.
EXPECTED RESULT
Pastures built on amphibious terrain should have amphibious terrains, so docks can be built where they expired, farms built where they were look like rice farms, and ships can traverse the areas that were intended to be amphibious.

Notes:
Terrain “contaminated” by pastures can sometimes be reclaimed by placing a farm partially on it. The center of the farm must be on amphibious terrain or else it will just expand the “contamination”. This does NOT make un-traversable (by ships) terrain traversable.
