What did they wrong with AoE3?
It received proper remaster, multiple QoL, DLCs, new maps etc
For comparision, many people want C&C Red Alert 2, byt they just released old version on Steam, and that is all…

Leaving bugs unfixed for years.
The 8 Crossbowman card e.g. was bugged in both campaigns and skirmish/mp. While it has been fixed for the latter, it still remains bugged in the campaigns.
Or after ranked treaty has been readded as lobbies, you loose Elo despite winning the game.
Edit: Or in general, leaving AoE 3 out. On the promo material for 2022’s Red Bull, they even featured a AoE 3 screenshot despite the game not appearing there.

They’re so incompetent at promoting the game it seemed like they were intentionally hiding all the work they put in because they were scared AoE4 players would prefer it.
Sorry to bother you , but stereotypes exist for a reason … They EXIST!
I love it when interlopers come here and lecture us on how we should feel about not only a canceled DLC but support abruptly ending all the while not knowing or caring enough about the history as to why many in the community harbor resentment towards WE that goes well beyond what happened on January 28.

You think it’s not enough that they’re ashamed of the game. They practically removed it from canon.
The choice of Aussie Drongo to cast KotoW despite that he had publicly broken from (and repeatedly insulted) the AOE3 community.
Why do you say he has insulted the community? I want context.

Oh. Hi Aussie. Long time no see. Nice Smurf.
Bad translation. XD Fixed.
Damn. And here I thought Australians spoke English.
Eh, I don’t really want to get into it since that may detract from the main message (calling out World’s Edge), but it should suffice to say that he repeatedly called the AOE3 community “three-tards” on his twitch streams for a long while after switching to AOE4.
This should have been a clear message about they would eventually drop the support for the game in the near future
Crazy, because you can’t have a IV without a III.
Such love from the AOE social media accounts.
Seriously World’s Edge? Blocking your long term fans because they are expressing outrage at you abandoning their game? I wasn’t breaking any rules; I wasn’t flaming or profane, just commenting on all their posts calling them out.
You seriously need to square up with this community. Trying to block and ban us into submission will just fan the flames.
It won’t be long before we’re permanently blocked here.
Almost guaranteed. Enjoy this dumpster fire while you can.
These people are massive hypocrites.
Most meaningless automated PR speeches are like “we are aware of the issue” while there is no real person behind it doing anything.
WE’s community managers will come and say they are sorry and they care about you and then block you.
They clearly HATE this community. I’ll repeat. HATE. Not neglect.
AoE3, to me, means the game my brother from another mother and I played and strategized for for hours.
It means the Sunbros’ discord and friends made along the way.
It means learning more about political science, journalism, and history while talking to my teammates than ever before.
It means the sadistic laughter when your friend does not see the raid in the back of his base and you’re like “hey, how you doin’ buddy ? game’s ok ?”.
It means the videos I made and learned to make.
It means using Artificial Intelligence and making the Sheepbot, which is, to my knowledge, one of the few (only ?) AI-UI interaction project in the entire AoE series.
A game is always more than a game. It’s a community, innovation, and memories.
Sometimes it’s a “3,2,1 … Hello and welcome to another cast on Age of Bison…”
I just recalled the Perma Ban of @ArrivedLeader22
The Cassandra of AOE3. He prophesied but many did not listen.
A prophet is not dishonored except in his hometown
