So I was playing Skirmish vs. the AI just now, and I got absolutely flattened by the Hard AI. I used to have a roughly 50% win rate against it , about two years ago but now I get beaten every single time.
Nothing against improving the AI to give it more strategies and allow it to perform them better, but it makes it harder to play against, so maybe new difficulty options should be added?
Edit: And before you tell me to play in Moderate difficulty, Moderate is way too easy and I win consistently. I’d like to have that 50% win rate back

You are not the only one reporting issues with the AI since the patch. It seems like the developers accidentally mixed up different difficulties or something like that.
I haven’t noticed a difference. I’m absolutely wrecking the Hard AI even with the new civs that I don’t know how to use. Sure, it’s a challenge, but I still win in the end.
Personally I almost feel like there’s a bigger gap between Standard and Moderate
