Gold not refunded when you cancel Spies

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Queue Spies and cancel
  2. The gold will not be refunded.

Can confirm. Exact same thing happened to me. losing 30k gold for nothing is pretty annoying.

There was a good suggestion in beta forums, that because spies has 0 research time, then it should be researched instantly without putting it into queue. This removes possibility to cancel it and get wrong amount of gold back.

This is still an issue after the new patch.

Issue:

If you research spies and then cancel it, you don’t get the gold back. If i misclick (even if it is on queue) and cancel, 200-6k (or even more) gold can be depleted from my treasury.

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Use spies
  2. cancel it

or

  1. queue units before spies
  2. use spies
  3. cancel it

We just released an update that may resolve this issue. Check it out and let us know if you start to get refunded the full amount when cancelling spies. The full list of updates can be found here:
