Everyone plays the way they want. I was just saying that you lose a lot of the game by skipping exploration, or with the full tech tree.

I skip exploration only because I am afraid of the AI. In AoE II: DE if you sent a scout to an AI’s base in All Visible mode they will become very aggressive and send a flood of units to your base in the Castle Age, and it is easy for them too because I play with Ultra High resources in both games.
