Pics for Chain Mail Armor and Chain Barding Armor techs, don’t actually depict linked chains.
It’s just rows of rings that intersect with each other that are layered one on top of the other like shingles.

Oh my God! That’s a very important discovery. That must be why I always lose - my units’ armor isn’t properly crafted.
