[AOE3 DE] [BUG] [Scenario Editor] Modify Protounit does not work

Modify Protounit does not work in scenario editor.

Here is the problem I’m experiencing…

100% of the time (ALWAYS)

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Go into Scenario Editor
  2. Create a trigger, set the condition to always, and choose the “Modify Protounit” effect
  3. Select ANY damage boosting action and apply it to a unit. Nothing will happen.

:arrow_forward: EXPECTED RESULT

Modify Protounit is a core mechanism of the scenario editor that allows you to modify unit stats. It gives you options to improve a unit’s damage output but not a single one of those options actually work.

When you use modify protounit to change a unit’s damage output, absolutely nothing happens.

Below is an image of what should be an increase of 400 damage not being applied. This is the same case with all units.


Did you choose the right value ? You cant increase the " bullet " attack, when they are using " CRUSH " as attack.

Yes you can set it to any value and it will not make a change to the unit’s damage output.
