I thought about it, but for aoe2, as I know better the civs from aoe2.
Arthur would be the main character, with a campaign which could feature both Romans and Celts, who lack real campaigns in the game
A first part as Romans interacting with maybe Berbers (as in the movie Kaamelott Premier Volet) and Wisigoths (Gunderic from the V&V scenario) arrives on the same period in Mauretanie Romaine.
Wisigoths showing the collapse of Roman empire as well
A rpg scenario with the quests of each Round Table hero (depicted in Livre VI) and the construction of Camelot castle
And then squirmishes with Huns, Vikings, Burgondes (rocher aoe2 Goths) - livres I II III
End of the campaign with one or two scenarios showing the civil war, Loth, Lancelot…
Using Astiers work, Chrétien de Troyes and real history could lead to a credible Aoe2 campaign.
My knowledge on aoe4 civs is very low so I don’t know if this kind of path could be followed, but Arthur Pendragon is a memorable character!
