LetmewinPlz: In the original, there was the question of whether you would worry about going to your second hunt, you have to scout the opponent hunt, see if you can squeeze an additional pickaxe, able to grab a town center, ect …
Now every map is copy paste, so you can do the same build all over again, except on water map. Idk I maybe exaggerating. What do you think?

It’s a number of things- Carnivores aren’t attacking (it will be fun relearning the metagame when they start harassing your economy again), there is very little combat in age 1 since there are no barracks, and there are no explorers/treasure guardians like in age 3. Fundamentally, aside from scouting and heroes collecting relics, there is little reason to stay in the archaic age 1 second longer than needed.

They should have more variety in maps having some low food maps and high food maps.
The problem is more complicated than that. Temples were nerfed and are now more expensive (i think the nerf is about 50% cost increase). That means you need to spend more time in age1 gathering non-food resources, which means you will end up with a bigger number of vilies if you macro correctly.
This means 2 things:
- Age1 takes longer to complete
- You reach age2 with a bigger economy, capable of either going straight to age3 or sustain a game-ending army
I am not quite sure why the devs decided to nerf temples. I don’t remember any cheese builds around fast age2.
