Auto-queue for Economy and Military (Reposted from Steam - As I realise the Relic Gods do not walk amongst us mere peasants there (no response in over 20 posts)).
Backstory
After having played a lot of Age of Mythology: Retold which is just phenomenal. At first I didn’t bother with their new accessibility features for the economy and training they provided. I just would set it up for my father, as he doesn’t play RTS or games at all really. So you can right click villagers in the town centre, and they auto create until you tell it to stop, obviously it has a smart system behind it, you can right click technologies too, so when the resources are available, it will start the research, and prioritise things over villagers (very well designed).
You can also incorporate a economy manager, that tasks the villagers onto resources and even build farms when food is no longer available. This takes the pressure off of the economy and lets him focus on build and controlling the army and keep up with me, so instead of us playing medium, and me having to be bored, we get to go up to Hard, and I at least get somewhat of a challenge as I often play on much higher difficulties with my friends.
It would be great to see these features added to AoE IV, as of right now I find that this game isn’t very welcoming for these types of players. Although the “Empires” game mode where you start with a somewhat established economy in the Dark Age is actually very helpful and he finds it a lot easier to get started this way, and can keep up, instead of having to get the build orders right, or villager ratio for optimal age up to get an early defence.
Summary
-
Please add auto-queue system from AOM: Retold in future.
-
For those who oppose this due to PvP - There is an option to disable it in AOM, which I would assume goes without mention to add into this too as a lobby option/ranked/OR just you know, stop being so negative all the time from all the PvP you lose

-
Auto-queue for military buildings too, allowing you to right-click a military unit to infinitely train it.
