Now that the two African civs can get (a very limited number of) super strong mercenary warships. Is there any plan to make the Battleship accessible in skirmishers as well?

So, are they eventually going to be in skirmish, or at least one historical battle? 
It would fit with imperial cards. Since they are adding new strategic branches to new civilizations, the more classic civilizations could go in this direction with the university building that would unlock new imperial cards, technologies and units such as this ship.
it looks like it might be used in 1 of the historical battles (oddly enough for a frigate).
