I have the exact same problem. The game runs fine for normal campaigns, they open and the scenario starts, but when clicking to open any of those 3 expansions a black screen appears. The background music is still on but nothing appears. I’ve already reinstalled twice, same issue.

Yup, same here, the only diffrence from my Company PC where i started palying is that, there i have Ryzen 3800X and at home i have 5600X

Hi has this been fixed i just purchased these games and all i get for my money is a black screen

hey, after writing to aoe support, they said it’s a known issue and they are working on it. Still frustrating after paying almost 35 euros of DLCS, for having half of em working…

I understand the logic, but i payed for them like , a long time ago, and plus, it’s not much like 5 euros for a big DLC, i can play it on my company PC, i will wait for the fix

Same issue here, was working fine before new ror patch. The following did not help so far
- Reinstallation
- Disabling all mods
- Disabling on screen display from video drivers
- Reducing resolution
Old saved games from dlc lol ad and work just fine, screen just seems to go black from campaign menu where mission select usually comes in

Hi there I have the same issue. I play the game via microsoft launcher.
Rome (new) dlc works fine as well as the normal campaign but the other dlc campaigns do not work at all. Soon as I click them I get a black screen but can still hear the menu music.
I’ve tried reinstalling, altering graphics plus other things but after reading this and seeing other people having the exact same issue it’s clearly the game that has an issue.
It’s really frustrating as i’ve reached out to both Microsoft & AoE team and so far nothing they’ve suggested is helping. Spent a good bit of money on this game and it’s not much fun when I can’t play half of it.

Same problem here. It’s annoying, because I bought all the DLC’s just a few days ago and I cannot play them. Only RoR is working.

same problem here on Intel Core i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz , black screen on DLC campaigns
I have the same Issue with three of the DLC under tabs W. europe (Lords of the West DLC), E. Europe (Dawn of the Dukes DLC) and S. Asia (Dynasties of India DLC)
