Blood and Bones Suggestions and Feedback

Here is a list of feedback I have after using the Blood and Bones DLC and messing with the settings for a while:

  • It would be great to have the option to change the blood’s color and saturation. I understand the current blood pool’s slight purple “wine” color is to reduce noise and stand out from the red team color. I think this could also easily be mitigated by using a darker shade of deep red instead and it would be great to have this option, along with the pretty good amount of options we did get.
  • It would be nice if blood pools started smaller and grew a bit in size after a unit dies to simulate it spreading out, instead of simply fading in. Basically an effect similar to the Argus’ acid pools.
  • A lot of blood pools feel a bit too big, especially for regular human infantry and ranged units. It would be nice to have an option to scale average blood pool size, similarly to how the impact effects’ size can be changed.
  • The current shiny material of the blood pools looks cool and makes sense for a wet surface, but it can look a bit weird when multiple layers of blood are overlapping. Maybe there could be some slight tweaks to this.
