Blood in Mesoamerica a DLC concept

And to round it out the now extinct Taino aren’t Mexican and in fact might be South Americans on an Island near Mexico.

I’d have them as Arawaks and add Caribs as their foil; these two groupings often fought wars against each other, be it in the Caribbean or South America:

Tropics (ideally new architecture for them and the Tupí, but the SouthAm set would suffice)

• Caribs: warlike cannibals of rivers and seas, what’s not to love? Give them food for each killed enemy units. Only palisade.
• Arawaks: their more peaceful neighbors, so less eating enemies and more eco I guess. Access to Fortified Palisade.

An article about Carib warfare: https://biblat.unam.mx/hevila/AntropologicaCaracas/2003/no99-100/4.pdf

In the northern part of Mexico, I’d love to see the Chichimeca:

@smiki5five

• Chichimecas: cavalry civ (Stables buildable in Castle or Imperial age). They are “the barbarian” of Mesoamerica, causing constant trouble to the Aztecs and later the Spaniards, and can serve as a bridge between Mesoamerican and North American civs. Access to Fortified Palisade.

Preferably lighter cavalry than the Xolotl for the Chichimecas though.
