Box Select selects object instead of units if mouse release occurs over said object

When using Box Select to select a group of units, if the pointer is over an object’s hitbox (farm, tree, lumber camp, etc) on mouse release, the game will select the object and not select the desired units as expected.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Place units in area with selectable objects/buildings.
  2. Use Box Select to select a group of units, ending the selection with the mouse over a selectable object.
  3. Observe units not being selected and game’s selection of object the pointer was over.

:point_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
The units were expected to be selected, regardless of what in-game selectable object the mouse pointer is over on mouse release.

This issue appears to be a duplicate; hard to tell:
Title is [Units constantly deselecting while I’m selecting them]

From further testing, the object needs to be in the user’s current field of vision (Los), and not outside the user’s current LOS for issue to manifest. Selectable objects that are outside the user’s LOS will not be selected and units will be selected as expected.

It appears that your mouse is generating additional clicks than required. Does the bug persist if you use a different mouse?
