Boyars and Konniks need changes

in pure knight v knight battles it makes no difference which one you get first. if you opponent gets attack you can make the fight even again by getting either of them. they cancel exactly
but armour is still beneficial against archers and TCs so usually armour is preferable. only in fights against spears and vils is attack more useful

2 boyars win against 3 halbs 70% of the time

2 sicilian cavaliers win against 3 halbs 90% of the time

using this lovely website: https://aoe-combatsim.com/
the fights are closer than expected though

I assume you mean he created knights? the reason for this is as follows: once he hits imperial age he can’t afford both upgrade lines: cavalier and elite coustillier. Or rather prefers not to invest into to unit lines. also coustilliers need more micro than knight/cavalier to get their full value.
The same applies to Boyar vs Cavalier. mixing them means you need to spend resources on two upgrades

Konniks are still one of the most pop efficient unique units. The only downside is that u need a castle to create them, which means a huge stone investment. But this doesnt mean its a bad designed unit because both Konniks and Boyards (like the paladin) are pretty good in team games.

Cavaliers are in theory better than the costilier in close games (I’m talking before the nerf). However the costilier has a huge snowball effect that makes you literally invincible if you win the first big fight.

No, you need castle and Kreposts to create them.

And that is a justification to be unused in 1v1s?, is sad because unlike war eles they are cheaper and quicker to mass, Konnik stats are now barely different from cavalier, and Boyar’s 80G is too high. Look at Leiciai, Keshiks, Coustiliers, all have lower gold cost and are now seen in high level 1v1s.

that’s what i said, greetings.
