Brits completely useless now

Every single time this game gets patched my winrate nose dives. Need to either stop playing Brits or just give up I guess and play Mexico or Ottomans like everyone else

What you think that they need?

Brits are fine, but we can indeed nerf Otto.

Agree they low lot the british

i have great winrate w/brit at high elo

i miss VC manor xp, and legacy church card techs, so i could do tower fi, which is the single most creative strategy to ever take games off good players, but the civ is fine

do you think if they give rangers guard upgrade with the church tech it will be as good as the older build?

the current tech tree for rangers, if you want a one-time power spike, is a lot worse than it used to be.

used to be just 2kc for 26 guard skirm. now you have to spend 800 food for 5 rangers (laughable) just to unlock 2kc for 30 vet rangers (boo) tech. I just don’t like the rangers, giving them more range wouldn’t change my opinion, but aiz sometimes has success with it as is.

the rework(s) i assume is to provide longer-term light infantry alternative for brit, but when im maxing manors in age 1, staying age 1 for 9 or 11 minutes, building towers with pioneers to go IV to bash some random top 20 player, the new church is quite lackluster.

yeah so if the second tech atleast provide guard rangers, you are having to spend more but atleast you get more rangers overall as well

it will be slower then the original build but its something atleast

halber.or better hand attack at musk or better piceman.also tgey need engeen.school

One minor thing that I’d like added to the British civ is for the 13 Cherokee Allies home city card to be replaced with a new infinite Gurkha unit shipment card. The (new) Gurkhas should have basically the same states as the current Cherokee Riflemen but have a unique British Gurkha uniform skin. They should be classified as a native units and not take up any population space but will have a build limit. This change will not affect balance in any way and will probably be only used in long treaty games.

(just to clarify these Gurkhas would not be the same unit that is offered to the Indian civ at the moment)

so it would just be a unit reskin?

Am I the only one weirded out about the Queen’s Rangers and the ‘Rangers’ card? Why do we need two simlar ways to enable Rangers? Wouldn’t it be better to change one of them to one that doesn’t enable Rangers but offers other benefits?

Why does Queen’s Rangers enable Rangers but not follow by changing Yeoman and Siege archery to Baker Rifles and Ranger Combat? This might lead people who are not familiar with Rangers to wonder if they influence Rangers as well.

Why isn’t the ‘Rangers’ card renamed, but keeps the same name as the unit, which may be too similar to the name of the unit shipments? It can be renamed Royal Green Jackets, and the Indian card of the same name be changed to Royal Gurkha Rifles, as the Green Jackets seem to be composed mainly of British soldiers rather than the local Gurkha people.

Roger’s Rangers can also not to turns Longbowmen but ships more Rangers.

Pretty much, yes. Alternatively they could be added as a separate card but with pretty much the same use. British Gurkhas should have opposite stats to Rangers to make them worth while; extremely high hit points but weaker attack. Maybe give them a novity high melee attack bonus against heavy infantry (maybe like times # ## times 5) and a higher movement speed (maybe 5) but have a reduced range of 17. They should be used to tank for other skirmisher units.

yeah thats just the Cherokee riflemen, they get 500 hp when they are fully upgraded

I am too. I love the Rangers, however I feel how they’re enabled is always rather convoluted.

We need new skins for musk.and better stats for musk of british .for example hand attack.for me that years of aeo iii take part musk of british was the best musk in the world.so must buff them more.
