Bug: Targets of Traitor lose their upgrades

Issue: Units target with Traitor lose their upgrades (unless you have research the upgrades they had). Hydra will lose heads etc. Makes this God Power very weak.

Trigger Event: Casting Traitor on any eligible unit.

Repro Steps: Cast Traitor on any eligible unit.

This issue still persists. Can we get confirmation if there are any plans to bolster this power and get it working logically?

It always has been like this, even in old AoM. As soon as the unit is converted, it’s yours, hence doesn’t benefit from previous upgrades - but does benefit from yours.

For veterancy (ie Hydra) I guess it’s the same, it’s technically a new unit so it loses its experience

Yeah, I guess they would view it as intended and not a bug. But it is lazy. It makes the power significantly weaker if they unit you targeting plummets all the way back to the archaic age :astonished_face:

It’s not “view as intended”, it is intended since it’s the same behavior since the original AoM. Let’s be honest though, you generally traitor a myth unit and most are strong even without upgrades.
Anyway, it’s more a feedback/ a change proposal, not a buggfix, maybe move this thread elsewhere or close it ? :slight_smile:
