Burmese Arambai!

The Burmese Arambai! Coming to a store near you! I had a wonderful privelege yesterday, to play the Burmese and try out their Arambai castle troop for the first time! Boy did I love it! They are a cavalry and arch troop. So they do have mobility and lethal damage! I did notice an area of effect hit with their dart tosses. I killed 2 pikemen with one throw. My guess was, due to their inaccuracy they can hit a target trailing the initial target, but who knows… after I re-watched the footage it seemed to me that the darts have a scorpion like effect. These are just my minor observations with this awesome troop. What do you guys think about the Arambai?

The Arambai is a cousin of the Conquistador. Neither of their projectiles count as arrows, so they do not get upgraded by the archer attack upgrades. To compensate for this their base state has been made a bit stronger. This means that both of these units are incredible when you can first make them and get more in line with regular archer units as the opponent gets their upgrades. This makes them some of the few unique units which are suitable for a rush strategy, where you tailor your build to getting them out as soon as possible and then immediately attack.

Thanks for the information!

To add to that, Elite Conqs are still a good unit even late game, but you definitely want some meatshield in front. (But Spanish aren’t really a good civ overall at the moment, the power creep of balance changes has outpaced the civ. Burmese are quite literally the worst civ in game rn)

Yeah those shenanigans… Well I guess we’ll make due with what we got. xD

Arambai quite OP lol, that 100% missing shot damage should be reduced, If those were conqs, the conqs could be touched at least 11

I agree the Arambai troop is pretty BA.

You really don’t have to like every post you come across on your threads, the more likes you give the less special it becomes.

But, but… I like getting likes… :frowning:

Everybody does but let’s make it so that you have to earn it.
