I didn’t even play the Alexander campaign I simply bought it for the scenario content. As a scenario maker I kind of have to buy every single DLC simply because of the assets.
I don’t play ranked. The last time I played ranked was probably about two years ago. Most games I play online are either 10x mod or some strange scenario. In either single player or multiplayer.

Somewhat same for me. But the best map content are new civilisations. They offer a lot more then just a hand full of units, so there is a lot of overlap between what I want and what ranked players want. Also most editor content comes from campaigns so I there is also a big overlap between what I want and what single player players want.
The only DLC that I didn’t buy is V&V since it had 0 new civilisations and 0 new editor assets.
I think a lot of people would love a Chronicles like DLC with a medieval campaign even without new civilisations. V&V wasn’t hated because it didn’t bring new civilisations, it was hated because it was just repackaged free scenarios with 0 new assets.

+1 for REAL medieval campaigns only DLC without new civs

Yes that’s why V&V type DLCs should not be made.
I don’t think you need to buy a DLC go get its content in the editor, you get all the units/objects with the update except for the civs.
