Seems to be obvious use of maphacks by the player above. Queuing up sheep in the fow, units charging at an enemy out of range, villagers equipping hammers for gold nodes not yet discovered etc.
The game is full of cheaters.
Near half of the team matches I play someone is suspicious. They know where to attack, what are you building, or even attacking in the right moment when you are building a wall.
He clearly uses the maphack, I checked one random ranked team match and it’s very obvious how he zooms out just at the beginning. A shame , these players are playing AOE IV with impunity
now appears to be using map zoom hacks as well.
Wow. That’s quite obvious. Did read a journal lately saying 30 percent of people actively use cheats in multiplayer. It’s obscene.
Which rank is that dude? I remember playing against someone chineese ended in 7.
Edit: I’ve found him, he’s like silver, so maybe was other guy. In his profile I can see he also loses games.
I just hope that companies start to utilise AI to combat cheating. That way the usual accusations that arise from pattern recognition can be disregarded with no human bias to factor in.
Orange was also cheating in that match. Often finding it the case of there being at least two cheaters present when certain player parameters are met.
I ran into a very obvious maphacker yesterday. It sort of seems like some of these users don’t even try to hide it. From the start, he went directly for all the sheep constantly looking into the fog and black areas of the map. Please create some better anti-cheat. This problem seems to be a bit out of control recently. I would vastly prefer better anti-cheat over any additional balance improvements.
I just find it funny that I am able to post blatant cheaters in the official forums and no action is taken.
I know there are likely other channels/methods for reporting cheaters but if someone at Relic/Microsoft is unable to take a passing glance at the forums and ban these people then it is indicative of a laissez-faire attitude towards cheaters that will slowly eat away at the playerbase.
What you are going to find out soon is that nothing is going to happen, doesn’t matter how obvious the hacker is, how much people reported him, or how much time passed, he’s still going to be playing.
It’s a shame that they do nothing, the game is good, but this kind of thing destroys the other players’ experience.
Seems like the responsible people don’t care about the state of the game anymore honestly.
Otherwise these hackers would all be permabanned after MAX 1 business day after an incoming report and the people who lost to them would get their rank points and elo back.
Dunno, games like league , dota, counterstrike ? They all do it in ban waves.
well the game has been out for a couple of years so relic must be saving up for one hell of a ban wave
Holy sheet, you made me laugh
It’s pretty sad though at the same time…
Especially for the people in higher mid-elo, where most confirmed cheaters/hackers seem to be playing.
That is ridiculous!!
