Cannot play 2v2 or 3v3 with friend

Here is the problem I’m experiencing…

Once we actually find a match, at least one of us gets one of the following errors:

matchmaking search failed a player left the party
matchmaking search failed error 5

Then the other person gets into the game, but the person with the error gets booted back to the multiplayer menu. This happened several games in a row and it is currently impossible to play competitive with friends because of it.

This did not happen with previous versions for several months. We could play as much as we wanted. This issue did not come up.

Here’s how to reproduce the issue:

  1. Join 2v2 or 3v3 queue with a friend
  2. Wait
  3. Fail to Join Match
