Cannot play the new campaigns despite having the DLC

I cannot play the new campaigns, though I have have the DLC (someone gifted it to me) and I can play the new civilizations in Skirmish and Multiplayer.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Have someone gift you the new DLC
  2. Update the game
  3. Start the game
  4. Try to play one of the new campaigns
  5. Be sad :frowning:

:point_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
I was supposed to be able to play the new campaigns.

In this image, you see Steam acknowledging that I have the new DLC.

In this image, you see how my civ select screen looks like in ranked Multiplayer. You see that I can select any of the new civilizations. This is expected, as I have the DLC.

In this next image, you see how the ‘S. Asia’ campaign screen looks like for me.

When I click on any of the campaigns, I get the following screen:

It would have been nice to have one of me playing one of the new campaigns.

Again you have to wait until the DLC is out. The DLC unlocks the campaigns. The civs are playable right away.

In that case, the communication is wrong.

Yes, you are right, should be better communicated since I saw a lot of these reports on Reddit and here.

I am now able to play the campaigns. :slight_smile:

Did you try removing and reinstalling them,that might work.
