Just installed game. Trying to turn narration off. When I click on radio nothing happens and the screen flips back to the top.
Impossbile to turn off.
I also noticed that I am unable to view the tech tree of the bottom two civs. The listing goes up to the top.
Trying to select anything that requires scrolling down first is impossible…if I click on something it does not “take” and it springs back to the top.

AoE support advised to disable any controllers and just leave keyboard and mouse.
That works but it is annoying and should not be needed.
Has anybody found a way round it ?
I don’t understand what you mean with narration. The voice in the campaign or the sounds your villagers and soldiers make?
The thing with the controller sounds annoying. I have a cheap gamepad and it never disturbed anything while playing AOE4 as far as I know. Are you playing on PC? Maybe your gamepad has some own software or something that “wants to take over”?
Narration is the accessibility option. Reads button text as you mouseover…

I have a temporary workaround batch file with this text:
pnputil /disable-device /deviceid “HID\VID_044F&PID_0402&REV_0100”
pnputil /disable-device /deviceid “HID\VID_044F&PID_B679&REV_0110”
pnputil /disable-device /deviceid “HID\VID_044F&PID_0404&REV_0100”
Disables, Joystick, rudder pedals and throttle..and a similar batch file to re-enable them.
Oh, so that is on by default because of your pc or steam settings, huh? I could not find this option in the game to be honest.
