Why are the cataphracts using swords to fight?The are usually depicted with spears, even they could throw projectiles. Please consider adding a spear for this unit instead of Swords.

I srsly don’t understand why AOE team just loves swords and shield, majority armies used reach weapons and many swords you show in game for units are ceremonial.
Please consider this change, looks very annoying seeing the cataphract charge with lance from Britain but all of a sudden switch to swords.

AOEIV devs dont care about weapons and history man.
We still have broken swords to japanese lancers…
Asian spearmen use western halbers and so on.
They dont care about history at all. So far they only proved that they only care about esports players and implement what changes they want. It is like the pro players look at the menu of balance changes and order which ones they want to the devs LOL
They dont care about its main player base.
This is the only truth you will get from an independent, non-profit, legit player.
There are many dependent, paid, creators and bots in these forums and reddit.
If you want accuracy then cataphracts should have lancer hp/armor, sofa attack, and ayyubid camel lancer charge.
