In scenario editor the change technology cost effect does not work for gold cost.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:
- Create a trigger with a change tech cost.
- Select the tech and change gold and another resource costs.
- The other resource cost should change but not the gold one.
EXPECTED RESULT
What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
The gold cost of the tech should change like other resources cost.

I tried to reproduce but couldn’t. Could you give tell an specific technology in which you have the issue?

I usually change the elite caravel upgrade cost but it’s a while since I last checked. I changed it to cost like the elite cannon galleons upgrade, it works for wood but not for gold.
Now that I think of it also didn’t work when I tried to change a cart and ox cart cost to 1000 food, 1000 wood and 500 gold. It applies to all resources except gold but maybe now has been fixed.

I just tested it: it so happens that the effect is bugged for ALL technolgies, be it Docks, or any production facility, or even University. All resources costs referenced in the effect correctly apply except for Gold. If you reference anything in the “Gold” field, the game considers it as “no gold cost” in-game.
I’m certain that it wasn’t the case months ago, so it has to be a recent bug.
About units/objects: have you tried to modify the cost through the Modify Attribute effect instead of the Change Cost effect? I usually avoid the Change Cost effect because it always been finicky as far as I can remember.

I don’t know, I remember having the same issue last year…
I tried modified effect too but iirc it didn’t work for gold, but you might check that.
I couldn’t think of a workaround so I made that whenever you research that tech you lose its gold cost after its completed (so you can have negative values unfortunately).

The Bug is still there.
After this effect the tech should cost 200 Gold.
In the game it says the tech is free.
The effect works as intended for wood, food and stone, but not for gold
Pls fix this bug!
