Changes to wall rendering and placement

In the original game walls looked a bit ugly once you tried to create a diagonal wall or worse, place the walls over hills. AoK added the diagonal wall section, but didn’t fix the hill problem.

Would be cool of AoE:DE addressed this. I know that it doesn’t affect gameplay very much, but hey, DE is supposed to have stunning looks (for a 2D game OFC), right?

It is very probable that the wall system will be the same as the AOE HD (in the mechanics for construction, because it has already been confirmed that there will be no gates in the AOE DE just to keep the gameplay like the old one).

Could be, although walls over hills in HD still were perfectly parallel to flat ground - meaning that you got stepped wall sections.
