# Changing gods doesn’t take effect if the timer is 10 seconds or less

when selecting other god when the timer is 10 seconds left, the god selected is not the one in the match but the previous one people had selected

(use the upload button ![image](https://forums.ageofempires.com/uploads/default/original/3X/a/5/a5a00942db51cf22c52e31f05ed5c3c1fd224e72.png) to include a picture or video of the issue in action if possible)

> ### Trigger Event:

(what was happening at the time of the performance/stability issue)

change god picture (pick another god) when the timer is 10 seconds left.

(this could be an action you or another player took right before the issue started)

this happen to 100% of players since the game release

> ### Repro Steps:

1. play ranked game
2. change god when the timer has 10 second left
3. your god picture is changed but the god is not selected for the match
4. finish your match
5. search ranked match again
6. your god is selected for this new ranked match

So that’s how it works. I didn’t know how to reproduce it. I just encountered this bug.

it was solved this last patch i guess, i tested it
