I’ve purchase Aoe2_DE on Steam yet I’d like this nickname to appear in multiplayer matches instead of my steam nickname. Is it possible?

Hi @WhreMy2dBoar, Change your Steam username so it is the same as Xbox Live.

You can change the name of your steam profile, so that new name will appear in the multiplayer matches.
