The cheat “i give up” as shown on the Age of Empires support page shows that this cheat should allow the player to instantly lose the game in custom or campaign games. However, I tried it in a few campaign games and while the game does recognize it as a cheat code, it does not actually cause me to instantly lose the game in campaign mode. It does work in skirmish mode with cheats enabled.
