I don’t want to make a long post going into detail but i wanted to point out some things i noticed surprised me positively, negatively and irritated me.
Some positive things i noticed:
- i like most of the campaing so far
- i like the voice acting
- i like some small details like the idle animations for the myth units
- i like most of the myth units designs very much
- i like the buildings and the environmental design
- i like the godpowers look and feel
- i like myth units are generally more subtle soundwise than the older ones (but often too quite!)
But what i don’t like or irritates me is:
- Qionqi and TaoWu seem to lack their visual upgrade? (especially Qionqi seems to lack the visual change it was promised in the (great!) marketing about the four perils)
- Myth units have too subtle/too quite sfx (you can barely hear them growl)
- some specials like the baihu are cool but look to subtle that i wish it would just have an upgrade which improves its stat and makes it a bit bigger and have no special (cause even its really cool its barely noticable especially in a big fight…)
- every civ has its iconic music at the start of a match. i like the music but its way too calm and not enthusiastic enough compared to the other civs (i mean norse and especially egypt are a banger here)
- siege feels strangly weak (but thats maybe just me)
- the lightning weapons is barely noticable (at least for me) it should definitely be smaller and weaker than bragis god power but still better noticable IMHO
- i hoped the void ability of hundun would be a wider but less long cone
- i know the benefits of the pixiu but i still don’t understand its purpose… why not make the pixiu the “ordinary” caravan unit OR make it a special one but make it special cause it can defend itself (like the kuafu) i mean it looks great it would fit really well but generall its a pssive economic unit normally.
- some minor god benefits are way better than other minor gods in the same age. (this happened already in the base game but it didn’t feel as drastic as in this one - but maybe thats just me)
