Getting the same civ twice in a row while choosing random … which happens alot

The probability of this happening (twice in a row) should be around 0.08% [0.028 * 0.028] … even if we apply some weighted averages for civs frequently played with … the probability would not exceed 1%

This does happens very frequently compared to its expected behavior

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Queue for 4v4 multiple times in a row [Ranked Death Match]
  2. Civs will repeat every while

currently theres an issue with lobby sometimes changing settings somehow revert it back to the previous civ you played. however this shouldn’t happen to queue’d game as theres no settings for you to change as you’re not hosting a lobby.

but the contradiction here is that you mentioned death match while saying “queue”. iirc ranked death match is only via lobby and theres no queueing, which should probably be because of the bug I just mentioned above.

when u create a lobby … its still queuing for a game … what other term would u use ?

i equate queue as in current random map queuing. not sure if they’re the same but if a player had to manually host a lobby i personally dont consider that queuing but not sure what other thinks.

now that its confirmed its a lobby, then yeah this issue happened me to several times and each time i start game gotta check civ again and again pretty annoying

Great to hear, this also affects the teams themselves

So basically one can get the same exact team twice in a row while everyone is selecting ‘?’

Was going to open another bug for it, but hopefully this is also on the list
