It would be good (if possible) to have historical sources under each of the propositions
This is not an academic paper where you need to have sources sited.Op has already done a good job of pointing out historical aspects on why he choose those.
Can you find the cited sources for Armenian infantry focus or scimitar throwing mameluks? How about almost the entire Celtic civ logic?
I used Wikipedia for all but one of the elements, that being the Svimbo Warrior. I had to search the term on Google Scholar to find the source of where I got that information.
I guess that won’t happen.
The identity of the Celts is the faster infantry rather than the heavier infantry.
Their style in the Castle age is rush. In addition to the Hoang strategy, I think the developers made Stronghold beneficial for infantry as they also wanted to encourage to drop Castles and spam Woad Raiders. We can always adjust UU’s armor if needed.
In the late game, they have excellent siege weapons against archers, so they still don’t need higher infantry armor.
If I were to completely replace Stronghold, I would probably like an improvement on Skirmishers or Knights.
Well it’s off topic.
Vills being able to immediately drop off resources when idle, attacked, or tasked somewhere else basically removes the need of a lumber camp, mining camp, or mill. That’s honestly OP in early game.
Yeah, I didn’t realize it was gonna be so OP when I designed the bonus. Maybe I can make it so they only drop it off when they’re killed; that way, there’s a tradeoff.
What happens in the late game or scenarios when the player delete villagers for extra space?more resources plus pop limit.
