Bug Report
Game Version: v.100.17.22308.0
Build Number: 481060R
Platform: Steam
Operating System: Windows 10
Issues:
This report outlines several issues that I encountered while playing the game, especially in the campaign. These suggestions aim to improve the overall gameplay experience. Please consider them as constructive feedback, not criticism.
This list will be updated as I progress further in the game.
Audio:
- Arkantos’ line “NE” plays at twice the volume of his other monologues.
- Weapon impact sounds, particularly when the Colossus strikes buildings, lack the heft and depth of the original.
- The Minotaur’s sounds feels comical, whereas it previously had a more monstrous tone.
- Similar feedback for the Cyclops sounds.
- Campaign music intermittently fails to play.
- The default volume for unit voices is too high, requiring adjustment.
- Amanra’s voice is significantly louder than other heroes, around three times louder.
FIXED:
- Arkantos’ ability lacks the accompanying warcry of nearby units, which was present in the original and added much immersion.
Graphics:
- Arkantos’ ability visual effect is overly pronounced, losing the subtlety and fading effect seen in the original.
- Arrow size, animations, and angles are often incorrect, particularly noticeable with the Centaur’s ability, where arrows point downwards at awkward angles.
- The Lure ability’s area effect is overly bright and could benefit from reduced opacity.
- Catapult projectiles do not cause water splash effects, which detracts from realism.
- The Phoenix’s attack and death animations are lackluster. Its fire attack often fails to ignite the ground, and the death animation looks particularly poor.
- In the Egyptian tutorial, the small pond of water has disproportionately large waves, which feels unrealistic and just wrong.
- Pharaoh’s empowerment effect on himself is far too bright, disrupting immersion.
Campaign:
- The campaign map no longer shows the entire mission path like the original. Instead, it only displays a single spot and objective, which feels less engaging.
Repro Steps:
- Play through the campaign.
- Pay attention to the listed issues, particularly the sounds and visual effects.
