:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

 DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.
Two conflicting mods were activated by accident. One mod allows the US civ to revolt to another one. The other mod replaced the US civ completely. When both were activated at the same time the game crashed. It now no longer can boot up and start. I therefore cant access my mods because i cant get into the game. Its bricked.

 How often does the issue occur? CHOSE ONE; DELETE THE REST!

  • Less than 25% of the time / matches I play (RARELY)
  • 25% of the time / matches I play (SOMETIMES)
  • 50% of the time / matches I play (FREQUENTLY)
  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)
    Happens 100% of the time.

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

 List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Download the CSA mod replacing the US
  2. Download the CSA revolution mod for the US
  3. Click back from the mod menu and proceed to defecate out a kidney from sheer frustration as your game becomes irreparably bricked.

:arrow_forward: EXPECTED RESULT

 What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?

There would be an error message telling you mods werent compatible and youd have a chance to unselect the one you dont want.

:arrow_forward: IMAGE

 ALWAYS attach a PICTURE (.jpg, .png, .gif) or VIDEO (.mp4, YouTube link) that highlights the problem.

I have no possible way to have photo evidence that this happened. My game is bricked.

:arrow_forward: GAME FILES (SAVE / RECORDING)

 Attach a SAVE GAME (.aoe3Ysav) or GAME RECORDING (.aoe3Yrec) of the match where you encountered the issue. Link it below if using an external file service.

Hi. I have no clue if anything I will say will work, but maybe delete your mods folder on your PC? After this but before launching the game, maybe also verify files?

Deleting the folder will allow the game to start, but he will likely also want to modify age3-mod-status.json to remove the mods from his list since things get weird after deleting the folder.

The filepath should be something like:
Users\<username>\Games\Age of Empires 3 DE\<numbers>\mods\subscribed\

I find it better to open that file and change every instance of

To

=false
