I’ve seen that several people have asked for this function and I haven’t found any answer in the various questions of these years. It’s a function that exists on sc2 with ALT+NUMBER, it creates a control group excluding the troops from the other control groups. To do this in “commands” “control groups” add ALT (or other key) to “remove selected units from all control groups” and add to the classic “set selected unit to control group X” (CTRL+1,2…) also the bind ALT+1+2… You will have the conflict with the camera that moves with ALT so it should be removed.
This way when you press ALT+1 you will create group 1 excluding these troops from the other previous groups.
*this way by pressing only ALT you will remove a troop from all groups
*I have the game in Italian so the commands may not be literally called this way
